In 2008, the now-defunct Four Corners Climbing Coalition worked with the Access Fund to secure climbers' access to Hawkins Preserve following a 16-month hiatus due to liability concerns. Climbers are required to submit a waiver/permit form to the Cortez Cultural Center, which manages the preserve.
The waiver/permit form can be found at [cortezculturalcenter.org/cl…] and completed forms dropped off in person or emailed to info@cortezculturalcenter.org.

Description
The problem is a short slab with a T-shaped crack system running through the middle. Sit start with your hands in the crack and your feet on the small ledge. Work up the crack taking advantage of the good hold halfway up, then throw your right hand up to the horizontal crack/rail. Shoot for the top with your left hand, smear, then mantel up.
Location
This problem is located in the "Central Area" on a west-facing slab of sandstone halfway between the southeastern edge/corner of the Rim Route trail and Patrick Point where the rim straightens out east of the Patrick Point curve. It is part of a collection of short, potential problems nestled into a little pocket formed by the rim and a couple of split off boulders. It is West/around the corner from Indoor Pinch (V1).
