Please be respectful and keep this access open to climbers. Use posted photos for this area to familiarize yourself with where parking is and is not allowed. Access to all gates must remain available to a truck and trailer. Parking in any way that restricts access to the gates north of the highway will jeopardize access for climbing.
Description
Like Rinse and Repeat, this is an old route that recently got new bolts and some cleaning. It's a fitting climb with the rest of the hard routes found on the Main Wall, requiring thuggy and thoughtful climbing.
Some mellow, but still engaging, slab climbing gets you right below the overhanging crux. A couple cool tufa features welcome you to a burly and tricky sequence. Tight compression moves and precise footwork get you the clip and then a huck requiring a very warmed-up right shoulder. Just hang on now through a series of long pulls on altered pockets. A few more moves get you to a good rest, then some fun pulls on cool chert holds lead to the anchors.
The movement is that of a 3-star route, but some uncomfortable/sharp holds and the manufacturing keep this from feeling as classic as other Main Wall climbs. Stoked to get some consensus on the grade, it's definitely harder than The Rookie!
