Description
Quick to dry, a decent "end of day" pitch on excellent rock.
The lower horizontal crack is about 5.7 and eats up gear. This pitch is a great alternative to the first pitch of Stop Making Sense and can be linked with Little Max (5.8, 6 bolts, sport) which is directly above Litter's Runt.
August 2022: this climb used to be rated R and the ground-fall potential meant it was seldom climbed despite the excellent quality. Two bolts were added (with permission from the FA Mark) to the runout slab portion at the top - making it very well protected. With this addition, the route is 5.9-, G and deserves an extra star. Enjoy!
Descent:
Rappel on a single rope from the slung tree or continue up Little Max (5.8 sport) or follow the 3rd class ledge to climb the aesthetic 5.4 offwidth pitch 2 of Stop Making Sense.
