On your first visit, go to the Blue Ball Barn to get a mandatory (but inexpensive) climbing permit. You must carry the permit with you any time you climb on ropes at Alapocas, or you may be ticketed. Just to the left of Chossy's Corner. A stretch of almost non-existing crimps in all the wrong angles makes this a difficult short climb.
Protection
Use top rope anchors at the top of Grey Streak. To reach the anchor make the easy scramble up the slab to the ledge, or if you are not comfortable doing so, top rope or rap from the anchors at the very top of Chipper or Spankey
