Attention:

Don't climb on wet rock! Sandstone is a porous rock type that can absorb a lot of water. It can lose up to 75% of its strength while wet, making it easy to snap off holds and irreparably damage classic climbs. Wait 48 to 72hrs after precipitation. If the ground is still damp then the rock is still wet. A great way to check for precipitation history before traveling to Joe's is to go to this site-

climate.usu.edu/mchd/dashbo…

and under "Data Charts" click the "Precipitation" tab. Make sure the surface wetness is 0 before climbing.

Start on two good crimps. Dyno up and right to set-back dish at lip.

Location

On left end of same side of boulder as The Flu and Pandemic.

A very fun move but hard to not follow the path of least resistance here. The intended line/FA was done as described but from what I can remember you can traverse crimps left, then the arete back right just a bit to top out. That line felt about V1-V3 and was also pretty fun, worth doing if you're just looking to grab some cool holds on good quality rock. Oct 14, 2019
