Begin as for Riptide, but continue directly up to a small roof. Climb right to a stance, and either place gear or reach out and around the arete to clip a bolt. Step left into the void, and continue up gently on good rock with mixed climbing. Finish up and right to a face climbing and a mantel over the top. The anchor bolts are located on a large boulder on the ledge.

See the approach information for the Outer Banks and the start of Riptide.
