Description Suggest change

Head directly up to "the hole", then trend up and left past a bolt until you see a short slabby right facing dihedral.  Follow this up and right until you get to a 2 bolt anchor.  No Rap Rings.

This climb is fun because it has short sections of many climbing styles (in order):  lieback, vertical movement, perfect hand jams (the left side of the hollow flake), slab, awkward dihedral (crux).  A microcosm of climbing.

We saw a rattlesnake under a rock at the top, watch out!  Also, the dam makes significant noise, making communication difficult.  Be prepared to yell!

Location Suggest change

Scramble up the hill until you see a giant dimple or "hole" in the rock.  Belay just below the hole.

Protection Suggest change

Takes gear of all sizes, but be sure to have tiny cams for the top dihedral, which is extremely thin. 1 bolt on the slab. 2 bolt anchor (no rap rings). Requires a 70 meter rope to setup a toprope.
