Description Suggest change

The Golden Rule is "thou shalt not fall on ice".  This route is an amazing line and, in my personal opinion, may be the best pure ice route at this grade in New England.  Consistent runout WI2/2+ ice takes you from the lowest point on the face of NBC all the way to just below the summit in four long pitches.  Unfortunately, it does not appear to be a regular former judging by subsequent years.  If it's in, don't hesitate to do it.

Location Suggest change

Starts more or less at the same spot on the cliff as the rock route October Sundae and takes a direct line up the face on thin ice for four pitches bypassing an overlap on the left on P2.  Rap off small trees to get down.

Protection Suggest change

Carry stubbies and spectres if you have them. a couple of longer screws may occasionally go in, but don't count on it.
