[Hide Comment] Good route. 2.5 stars. Crux #1 is getting established on the steep face. Crux #2 is getting high enough to clip the bolt over the bulge and then making the move over the bulge . I found that staying right on the arete here is more fun and perhaps a half-grade more secure movement than keeping to the face left of the arete. Apr 6, 2020

[Hide Comment] A enjoyable route for the grade, the step out onto the arete is probably a little harder than 5.10a but the rest of the climbing is so chill you won't care anyways. Mar 21, 2023

[Hide Comment] I TR'd this first, as Mr. 6'4"--my husband--thought I'd have trouble clipping the second to last bolt (I'm 5'3"), the one that's just beyond the bulgy crux. Turns out we figured out different moves for that, and I had no problem at all, but I figured that part out on TR. Comparing it to routes we do in the Alabama Hills and the Owens River Gorge, it didn't feel harder than 10.a, just a little crimpy. I used holds both on the arete itself and over to the right. Just seemed to flow that way. Great climb! Dec 25, 2023
