Description

How do you grade the difficulty of a single move? This question, long debated by climbers, is truly exemplified by this problem.

Match the flat underclinging edge, smear feet, stand up. Desperately grab a jug, bust two "hardly even a move it's so easy" moves, and top out. Don't dab.

Location

Directly downhill from the Counselor.

At the time of FA, I believe the first move of this was miles harder than the other hardest climbs of the area (Ghost Ethics V7, Northeast Jungle Beast V7, Incan Flow V6.) I had a significantly difficult time grading this and would not have assigned a grade if Mountain Project didn't require it. Given the "one move wonder" nature of this problem, I felt V6-7, in line with the other current test pieces, was appropriate. I'm very open to grade fluctuation, and won't be surprised if the grade significantly shifts with time. Dec 24, 2018
