CA State Parks officially reopened Big Rock to public access April 28th, 2018. After months of effort 53 anchors and 232 bolts have been upgraded to 1/2" X 2.75" stainless steel Powers 5-piece bolts and rings.
Description
Excellent friction and small edges lead up the face to a broad shallow groove and a bulge. Move right and pull the bulge on positive holds. Continue climbing on knobs and flakes to the anchor above a raised dike. Welcome to Big Rock has its own anchor, above the dike, and somewhat higher than those for the routes on either side.
