Description
A very dependable, 2 pitch, early season route. The majority of the route is unfortunately destroyed with heavy snow conditions.
Pitch 1: Starts with about 50' of WI2 slab ice up to a pool, then up a 25'-30' WI3 curtain. There is a large boulder on climbers left at top with some webbing and a rap ring.
Then work your way up the rocky stream bed about 100' to the start of pitch 2.
Pitch 2: Starts with another slab flow for about 20', then turning into a nice little 20'-25' curtain, definitely the best part of the route. A couple of pins with cord and a rap ring as an anchor.
Location
Around a quarter of a mile north of Hard to Find Falls if traversing in from there. Just head north until you literally stumble across the stream.
Otherwise, park about a quarter of mile up the road from Cobblerest campground at a pullout by a yellow curve warning sign. From there, cross the river and follow the obvious creek until you find ice.
