Description
Akwoo is a popular climb on Ulsanbawi due to its mellow nature.
P1(30m,5.8) Climb a moderate off-width crack. Two variations exist.
P2(30m,5.8) There is a huge chock stone you should chimney up right before the P2 anchor.
P3(25m,5.8) Chimney and crack climbing. Once you pass the chimney, take the hand crack on the left for a sweet hand jam.
P4(40m,5.7) Moderate slab/arete climbing. You may need an extra #4 or #5 cam for protection. You will encounter a bolted anchor about 25m up for optional belay. Proceed 15m more and you arrive at a spacious ledge with a huge rappel anchor.
P5(25m,5.7) Climb the slab/crack to the right.
P6(20m,A0) Aid up the bolt ladder.
P7(20m,5.8) Traverse right, then climb the short chimney to a great perch.
P8(20m,5.4) Climb up the short slab on the right.
For descent, take the center gully rappel route.
