Description

Begin on a few underclings to a low, sharp crux with cool edging moves. Easier climbing follows to a lower angle arete, then finishes left to the anchors.  Morning sun, afternoon shade.

Location

Continue right around elephant rock about 150ft past “pygmies” and the bolts are clearly found to the right of a fat crack/pillar. There should be a fence with a gate right behind you.

Protection

10 bolts to a 2 bolt anchor with chains

[Hide Comment] This route looks dirty but is actually very clean. The crux is on the lower section and eases up after about the 6th bolt. There are 10 beautiful bolts (thank you!) and all very well-protected. You won’t feel any “run out” here. The top section has a fun, right-handed, patina plate arete to follow to the chains to make one last semi-awkward move to the finishing hold. May 12, 2019

[Hide Comment] Described above as 'sharp crux'. Yes, the rock is sharp at the crux. The rock on entire lower half is sharp. This rock texture reminds me of climbing at Mt. Lemmon (Tucson, Arizona) and Granite Dells (Prescott, Arizona). Jul 4, 2021
