Description

A recently bolted alternate 2-nd pitch to Birthday Bolts. My experienced climbing partner who saw some of the bolting take place believes it's intended to be done as a alternate second half to Birthday Bolts such that you can link the whole climb in one pitch.

First half is the same as birthday bolts. Near the top of P1 of Birthday Bolts, instead of moving up and left to the anchor, go straight up through less bushes onto a low angle blank slab leading to an small overlap with one bolt. Climb up a steeper face to a second bolt, and move up and right a little to maneuver around the third bolt (crux?) to a stance. Finish up and left to a shared 2-bolt anchor.

Location

Start on birthday bolts, but continue straight up just before the P1 anchor.

Protection

(3) bolts and some gear.

[Hide Comment] Protect your 2nd after the last bolt, From the bolt to the anchor is a decent traverse. The swing on the rough rock could damage a rope. One more bolt wouldn’t hurt. Jun 4, 2019
