Boisterous Shorty

V2+, Boulder, 12 ft (4 m),  Avg: 2 from 1 vote
FA: Maxwell Miner
Colorado > Grand Junction… > Mogensen Ponds… > Wall of Noise Boulder

Description

The only jugs are the start and the finish, which makes for a fun and careful series of movements. I kind of want to give it V3 - may be height-dependent.

Start with arms spread, with your left hand on a meaty, flakey undercling and your right hand paying lip service to a sloped edge with a good but optional separate thumb catch. Figure out those barn-door-prevention feet, then move up and left, topping out on either the decent lip directly above the start or the excellent jug behind the corner of the boulder. Try not to fall after moving off the starting undercling lest ye break your back (or at least severely bruise it) on the rock behind the tiny landing wash.

Protection

Multiple pads are recommended, the potential fall is into a depressed area with a pretty mean looking rock directly behind it.
