Description

Next route to the right of Clyde and Isabelle. Several pitches lead up to the "roof", which is more of a vertical step than a roof. A short bolt ladder is used to ge tover the roof. Several more slab pitches lead to a pretty arbitrary final belay, at the base of a big arching corner. The route ends here and does not continue up the corner or top out.

Slightly harder climbing than C&I, and several hand size cams are useful although the route is mostly bolted.

Location

This route is about 40 m to the right of Clyde and Isabelle.

Protection

Bring a couple 1" to 1.5" pieces as well as 11 draws. Double 60 m ropes required to get off. Fixed for rappels.

The first pitch starts up this low-angled flake, clipping a bolt at the top and heading up the slab.

[Hide Comment] Climbed this Aug 17/2019, when my partner and I couldn't find the start of Speedway with socked in conditions. Overall a fun, well-protected route. The bolt ladder is easily dispatched with a couple slings to step in. Some of the bolt hangers have been flattened due to rock/ice fall, so it wouldn't be a bad idea to bring a few along. I replace a couple missing hangers, and tighted up the loose ones while rapping back down. Aug 20, 2019
[Hide Comment] Tried climbing this Sep 21 2019 in poor weather hoping conditions things would improve, they didn't and by the 3rd pitch we were climbing up a shallow stream of water that follows the line of the route. We bailed mid way up the 5th pitch as it begins to get steeper. We tightened the majority of bolts, I would recommend taking a wrench. One of the anchors had smaller than average bolts so we weren't able to tighten these. Sep 22, 2019
