Description

Light My Fire shares a start with Backdoor Man then climbs straight up the steep wall above. Catch a rest at the flake/ledge midway up, then traverse right to finish on a cool, orange headwall. Some of the holds are a bit crispy, but it should clean up with traffic. It's probably a touch harder than Backdoor Man.

Location

This is the last route on the steep wall before the 5.10s. It shares a start with Backdoor Man.

Protection

10 bolts. The first 6 have permadraws.

Really enjoyable! Big pulls in between buckets up to the flake rest, then a technical crux at the top. Will definitely clean up with time. Jun 23, 2018

Probably the most fun 12a I’ve been on. Such a steep jug haul. Jul 21, 2018

This thing is going to be a classic as it cleans up. I have a hard time thinking of another Front Range 12a as steep and long as this with buckets mostly the whole way. Jul 23, 2018

WAY more continuous and fun than Backdoor Man while the crux isn’t as thin. Skip the weird early rest in the cave out right to keep the grade honest. That bucket after the awesomely pumpy top crux gave me a shit eating grin! Aug 8, 2018
