Starts with a cool chute that leads left of an overhang to WI2 ice. Follow up to about 20’ of vertical ice to finish.


You’ll see the ice line from an opening in the woods (to the west) about 10 minutes before reaching the Phelps Trail/Haystack Trail intersection. Depending on snow conditions and the time of the season there may be more than one climbable option. Only the longest line has been documented.

Bushwhack west from the trail. You’ll need to thrash through balsams and thread your way over and under blowdown for about 20 minutes to reach the small clearing below the gully.
