At the Wadi Rum entrance complex is a Tourism Police office. If you are climbing at Wadi Rum, you are supposed to register with the police and give them a photocopy of your passport. Bringing a spare photocopy to give them saves some time, as they don't have a photocopier of their own.
Description
This is a great little route on the east face of Jebel Rum. Sporting a gorgeous corner pitch, and an airy traverse its a great afternoon outing.
two approach pitches (or one with a 70M and some easy simuling) lead to the base of the corner. layback and stem up the lovely dihedral to a belay. you could also continue to the top of the corner for the same number of pitches.
in any case the last pitch traverses straight right across an exposed foot ledge with decent pro to the belay at the top of The Towering Inferno. Double rope rap Inferno.
