Description Suggest change

A classic with a short approach and great view of Gran Paradiso

P1 - 70-75° ramp leading to a bolted belay on the left. May be more or less snow covered depending on the year

P2 - Sustained climbing with a vertical section. Look for a bolted belay in a bit of a cave. Belay may not be found in a high ice year, in which case belay on screws

P3 - Short vertical section and then a snow/ice ramp to bolted belay on right

Location Suggest change

Continue past Valsavarenche towards Pont. After a few minutes, the climb will be visible on the right and parking (~3-4 spaces) will follow on the left. Approach from parking is short.

Climb the snow gully until you feel the need to rope up

Descent:

Rap the route (top of P3 to top of P1 then top of P1 to the snow gully)

Protection Suggest change

Fixed anchors at top of all pitches, but anchor at top of P2 may be buried in a high ice/snow year.
