Description

Note: this is frozen mud climbing only - not only would it be dangerous but likely impossible to ascend any other way.

Start on the northeast face on a cold winter morning. Maybe you should drive up the night before and bivy at the base to get the full experience. Nice, clean sticks leads to hooking and other mixed mudaneering techniques (M4) to the summit.

Location

This ascends the obvious teapot feature above the junction of Debeque cutoff road and CO 65. Hike in just a ways up the road on BLM land. If anyone stops and asks what you are up to, tell them you are going mudding.

Protection

Ice tools and crampons. Metal stakes could be used for questionable pro. Bring webbing for the slung summit anchor or you could simul-rap.
