Zen Amongst the Rubble follows the main line on the slender spire hidden behind the Rocketship in Fifth Canyon. When viewed from a distance, this Forgotten Tower is actually what gives the Rocketship formation its name - "it appears to be one large tower; however, it is really two towers, one below and in front of the other." (Bartlett 1988)

The route was established ground up, hand drilling from stances when necessary. P1 and 2 are approach/scramble pitches to access the goods above. The main tower has good quality rock and a pleasant mix of crack and face climbing. The route can be rappelled from fixed anchors (pins, stoppers, and bolts) with a single 70M rope.

Approach up Fifth Canyon takes 2-3 hours, depending how close you can park to the roads end. Stay in the main drainage left of the Rocketship as it narrows and become choked with large loose blocks. A hidden gully behind the Rocketship leads up and right to a house-sized chockstone - this is P1.

Doubles 0-3", 1x 4", stoppers, 70M rope. Extra tat for the rap anchors.
