Lost in the Weeds

Description

The crux is after the ledge, protected well and not bad for a slab move. A key edge on the right side of the arete helps me dance onto the face.

The rappel /lower off is exposed and partially free hanging. Watch your landing to be sure you arrive at the ledge.

Location

Look for a belay bolt on the right side of the ledge where the other routes begin. This is the arete climb.

Protection

Ten bolts, anchor chains. Single bolt for belay on the ledge start. Watch the ends of the rope and knot them.

Joe Garcia at the crux and Jenny on belay. Moving onto the slab above the ledge requires finesse and balance. Beta: key hold on upper right edge of arete helps.

The crux is well protected. The wind made the chilly FA attempt impossible for my desertified fingers LOL.

[Hide Comment] Super exposed feeling near the top, very exciting! I thought the crux was near the last bolt. Sep 28, 2020
