Description

This is a short, sustained face climb up excellent rock in the middle of the Comedy Wall. Clip the first bolt on The Far Side, step up and right, then climb the flat face past four bolts on underclings, sidepulls, and dishes to a crux lip encounter reefing for and then on credit-card edges. One more bolt protects the finishing mantel over the slab to reach double-bolt anchors.

Location

It is in the middle of the Comedy Wall, just right of The Far Side and left of True Comedian.

Protection

6 bolts to double-bolt anchors.

I did the FFA of this route. Equipped by Mark Rolofson. Jan 15, 2018

Thanks, Peter. We pulled off a big, loose potato-chip flake passing the fifth bolt. The route is a little harder now--crimps are lower down but much more solid where the plate broke off. Probably doesn't change the grade. Jan 15, 2018
