Description

An easy climb or solo, with great opportunities to place gear, make anchors, or do simul-climbing.

The large flake straight and halfway up is P2.

FA'd because all of the main dome was busy with other teams, and we got bored and wanted practice.

Location

Right in the middle of the BBQ slab section, in between the large tree to the right and the pointy stack of rocks to the left. Descend down the cave ravine to get back to the start, or summit the dome for and descend to exit.

Protection

.75"-3", and requires a body belay at the top of the dome as there are no bolts and not many places to build an anchor. Sit inside a shallow bowl/shelf and body belay sitting down.

There's no way to let you down easy.

Two years ago, I watched a family of four "free solo" the area you labeled in the picture.

They had two children, and they each strolled up the thing on their own power. The older of the kids was maybe 6. I remember because he kept asking his mom for snacks. Feb 1, 2018
