Access Issue: RAIN, WET ROCK and RAPTOR CLOSURES: The sandstone around Moab is fragile and is very easily damaged when it is wet. Also please ask and be aware of Raptor Closures in areas such as CAT WALL and RESERVOIR WALL in Indian Creek Details
Access Issue: Poop Alert! Details

Description

Starting off on some mossy rock with an under cling pocket make your way up L of the first bolt. Once established on the climb enjoy a fun dance L and R of the bolted line following the path of least resistance. A good variety of smears and ripples lead to a section of deceiving friction just before the anchors.

Location

This is the bolted line in the trees just L of “Seamed like a good idea”.

Protection

8 bolts to chains

Fun friction climb, but what was not fun was our dog digging up someone's poop just to the right of the belay area. Come on, folks! This is a highly trafficked area with a Poop Alert already posted. If you're going to crap, then at least clean up after yourself and bag it out. It was the low point of an otherwise fun day at Wall Street. Two stars for the tour. Minus five stars for the crap. Nice climb, very continuous. You get past one bolt and think, it is going to get easy, but it stays consistent. It felt more like 5.9- than 8+ to me, but at 5' 6" I'm short. There are several sections where being a bit taller would have made the move easier to reach.
Belaying in the trees is a a good escape from the sun on a hot day. Apr 14, 2018
