Description

Pull the difficult moves below the bulge to a bomber incut, then surmount the bulge on small positive features to the upper headwall. As the angle eases the features get larger and the terrain becomes more knobby to the anchors. "Cowboy Coffee" climbs some of the best rock at Texas Canyon.

Location

Cowboy Coffee is at the far right end of North Dallas 40, just left of the oak tree.

Protection

10 bolts to chain anchors.

Ben Chapman, I think you're blowing stink. MP doesn't list Texas School Book Depository and the namesake, The Texas School Book Depository is the location from which Harvey Oswald was said to have shot John Kennedy. Seems like you might be making some statement. Nevertheless, congratulations to Katie Hill the new Congresswoman from the 25th California CD. Climbers and progressives salute her. 6 days ago
David Engel, I'm not 100% sure what blowing stink is, but Ben is correct, Hill is climbing The Texas School Book Depository. I should know because I put it up. Just because the route is not listed on MP, does not mean that it doesn't exist. Ben can speak for himself but I do not believe he is making a political statement. Her being on it was just a coincidence, I doubt she knew anything about the route when she climbed it and if anything, it more importantly speaks to her ability and quality as a climber- to not have any beta, but get on it anyway. Most climbers are not like that anymore, but it used to be a valued trait. Still is for me. 6 days ago
