Starting just to the right of the tree, climb up for about 20 feet. Then continue up and right for 30 more feet, crossing back onto Dead Dog. Continue by climbing through iron bands and finish by Cedar tree.


Start about 8 feet left of Dead Dog. Refer to photo.

So, if someone did the line that Dave has marked in the lefthand pic then that was likely an FA.

"The Idiot" is actually both a line that never went and subsequently a joke and is marked in the corrected picture. We all tried to push the line in turn and couldn't, but couldn't for a pretty funny situation you inevitably find yourself in up there at the crux. The crux is an obvious vertical 'half pipe' affair about 18" wide stretching between two horizontal bands of ironwork and if you're in the right place at the crux you're in the pipe reaching up for the most beautiful and gleaming hold on the upper band. Definitely worth revisiting... Feb 28, 2018
