[Hide Comment] what does it mean gear anchor?

Also, I'm assuming you can hike to the top and set up the TR? Just checking, I'm typically a sport climber, but I'm going to NM with friends who I want to intro to climbing. Thanks! Aug 4, 2020

[Hide Comment] Many of the routes here were originally TRs which required gear anchors. One can probably TR off Lay Out's bolt anchor now. Aug 4, 2020

[Hide Comment] Oh, I see. So meaning there's a good place to create a gear anchor, but you have to bring your own pieces? Aug 4, 2020

[Hide Comment] Yes, gear anchors here require your own removable pro and generally long slings or rope because the placements are back from the cliff edge. Aug 4, 2020
