Access Issue: Portal Road Closure Details

Description [Edit]

The obvious, low-angle, stepped cascade that starts right out of the parking lot. There is high water flow here - beware of thin/hollow ice shells over running water. Lots of really easy terrain separated by short steps. This line is usually "bouldered" when it's in, and makes for a good beginner/practice climb. An escape can be made by stepping off either side of the flow onto easy walking ground.

Location [Edit]

From the end of the loop, the Portal Falls are plainly visible. Walk off either side back down to your car.
