P1: Go up the gully left of Shipton's Arete to a treed ledge system. Hard to grade; it's scrappy with many turf placements, and can be soloed.

If you walk right on this ledge system, you will arrive at the first belay of Dogleg Right. (Early season, before the pond freezes, this is a good way to access the base of Chouinard's Gully .) Instead of doing that, move the belay up and left to the high point of the terrain.

P2 (M5): Go up rock to roofs (below an overhanging chimney), then traverse left to the P2 fixed anchor of Tilman's Arete.

Descent: Rappel Tilman's Arete (2 rappels with a single rope from fixed anchors).

Begin in the gully left of Shipton's Arete, which is the arete right of Tilman's, the last piece of rock before the rock drops directly into the pond.

Rock rack to #2 Camalot.
