Description

The route wanders to the right towards the roof approximately 80 feet up. The bottom half is smooth sailing on edges and solid crimps. The crux creeps up just before the roof; if you make it past, you are flying high through space on solid jugs.

If you are using a 60m rope, please make sure to tie a knot at the end of the rope. It's a long climb.

Location

Almost dead center of The Mothership area. The route goes up the face with a high roof.

Protection

13 quickdraws
11 bolts to 2 bolt anchor

This might my favorite climbs at the R&R's and I'm happy to see it posted, its a good idea to enjoy a quick rest before the (amazing) layback section that goes through the roof. As a 6'5" climber it might be a little easier pulling the crux/roof.

I found a 70m rope to be necessary and like many climbs at the crag its a good idea to bring a stick clip. (This is definitely a Scott Jones FA he showed me this a couple years ago when it was "his new rout") Jun 28, 2018
