Ex Utero may not look like much but the uniqueness of this route makes it a must-do in the area. You may want to don your headlamp for this one--the climb terminates a body-length in the dark hole you can see in the roof of the cave.

Climb up good holds and fun movement on edges and pockets to a distinct crux just below the hole. Climb bigger holds up into the hole for about eight feet to the anchors. Take a moment to lean back and relax. Sign the logbook and be sure to resist the urge to make an inappropriate joke about being in a dark, moist hole.


In the center of the cave. Look up to see the big hole. Climb into it.


~8 bolts to a bolted anchor way up in the hole. Headlamp recommended inside the hole.
