HUMAN WASTE Human waste is one of the major issues plaguing Red Rocks. The Las Vegas Climbers Liaison Council and the AAC provides free "wag bags" in several locations (Black Velvet, First Pullout, Kraft Mtn/Bouldering, The Gallery, and The Black Corridor). These bags are designed so that you can pack your waste out - consider bringing one to be part of your kit (just like your rope and shoes and lunch) no matter where you go. Once used, please dispose of them properly (do not throw them in the toilets at the parking area).
It's A Weird One
Climb the alcove, running up easy varnished huecos. Climb up and through the tree, tucking inside to find a short but sweet dark chimney.
Climb the completely enclosed chimney and scramble up and left to an anchor at 80'. Evaluate rope drag and either belay here, or continue to the top.
Above the first anchor is the crux, an off-width with fewer face holds. This is the only thoughtful section, but is obviously well protected. Above this climb the hueco ladder and crack, staying left, to the top anchor.
This is a very fun and unique climb that may not challenge you, but is still sure to delight.
