Start standing with a right-hand crimp and a left-hand gaston on the arete. Move left hand up to a small crimp and drop right hand into the left starting hold. Fire to the apex of the boulder from here and top out on good holds.

None of the holds are terrible, there is just a distinct lack of feet.

There is also a sit start to be added, but it may actually bring the quality of the climb down.

This is the right arete when looking at the boulder from the trail.

The name stems for the guillotine shaped block that came off under the pressure of a wire brush while cleaning. At the top of the block, it was about 6 inches wide and narrowed down to a point. If it had been climbed on, the person pulling on it would have been very hurt. Oct 21, 2017
