Description

Probably the most enjoyable 5.8 I have done in the park.

Double cracks that start in a stembox. Follow the tracks to the anchor in the alcove.

Location

A few hundred feet uphill from Mowgli. Very obvious feature.

Protection

Cams and nuts. .3-3 with extras in the finger size. Extra #2 helps as well.

[Hide Comment] Hard to think of a better single pitch in the park at this grade. It'll take as many cams in the .3 - .75 range as you want to place.

I initially assumed this route was given 4 stars just to get people up to it, but it really is a 4 star route for anywhere in the park... just good luck convincing people to come out there for it! The Jungle Wall approach is looking better nowadays than in recent memory, and goes smoothly if you know where you're going. Oct 24, 2017

[Hide Comment] Keeps coming at you! I wouldn’t have minded having more #.5 and #.75 Camalots.

We cleaned up some old tat at the anchor and added taped carabiners to the quicklinks on the bolts. May 9, 2018

[Hide Comment] Don't wear shorts and a tank for this approach. And skip the sandals. Little climb is great.. Sep 26, 2021
