On the right side of the cliff you will see 3 bolts. Follow the line up small ripples and nubs on delicate feet up to a horizontal hand crack. Continue straight up to another horizontal feature with good hands then onto an easy (runout) slab. Continue to the bolts.

Far right of cliff.

Small gear up to a 1" after the bolts. Nothing on the slab.

It is possible to set a top rope on this if you climb Rum Doodle and pass the anchors up around a tree and lower down over the anchor. Jun 11, 2018

This is a great climb to add on to the end of the day. Probably the 5.10 closest to the road in the area.

Very delicate moves on quality rock with very well-protected cruxes. Don't let the "R" rating posted here fool you. The real moves are more "G" than most Adirondack sport climbs, since the crux is so close to the ground. The "R" rating is for a stretch of 5.3-4 friction on clean rock to reach the fixed anchor (which was lowered since the 2nd Edition of Adirondack Rock was published), and a good piece can even be placed along the way Jun 11, 2018

Yes, there's a lower anchor than what is mentioned in the guidebook. No more "R" climbing.

Also, although the Aquarium is pretty close to the road, it's not nearly as close as "Crack in the Woods", just down the road from the Case Wall parking. At least this cliff has a beautiful stream to stand in while belaying. Jun 11, 2018
