Wyoming > Lander Area > Wild Iris > OK Corral > 3. Right Side (… > 1. Diamonds & Rain

Description

Right of Diamonds and rain is this hard route. I believe the crux revolves around a narrow mono. Those with sausage fingers may have to use their ring finger in this mono.
Sounds heinous.

[Hide Comment] Not as blank as it looks from the ground, and all the pockets are pretty sinker (besides the crux mono). I felt it was less sustained than John Wayne but had a harder crux move. Aug 26, 2018

[Hide Comment] Way more fun than it looks from the ground. The crux for me was a barely reachable slopey sidepull out of the sinker two finger. I don't know how you would manage that move if you had less than 5'11"/6'0" span (which I barely have at 5'9" + 2-3" ape). Great route! Jun 15, 2020

[Hide Comment] While shorter folk like me can't use the beta ferells mentions. High feet and a big pull off the mono are definitely doable. Don't shy away based on his comment. Sep 7, 2020
[Hide Comment] Agree that the crux is up higher than the low monos. Found a high left foot there and a wide right foot that made the move to the slopey right hand side-pull very do-able at 5'4". Actually really liked this route and felt only a bit harder than Diamonds in the Rain (which is very hard if you're short). Jul 7, 2023
