Description

Dark Matter climbs better than it looks. Climb the black water streak using crack and features. You need gear for the bottom, the rest is bolted.

Note: a 6Om rope just makes it to the ground.

Protection

A standard rack to a #3 Camalot, 13 bolts, plus an anchor.

[Hide Comment] Fun route! I didn't place any pro until I got to the black crack, though I probably should have put in a cam lower down. I placed 2 #2 Black Diamond cams and 1 #3 in the black crack before the bolts started. I really enjoyed the route, and there is a nice hand jam in the crack as well. Aug 30, 2021
[Hide Comment] Great route! "It climbs better than it looks" is accurate. I sewed up the trad portion. Since I'm a newer trad leader, this was pushing grade for me on gear, and there's lots of good stemming stances to place from. I managed to place 1 of each cam from #0.4 to #3 and think that you'd be pretty well-protected if you brought only that gear + draws. Could probably stick an offset nut in a constriction about halfway to the first bolt, I just used a cam there though. May 15, 2022
