The two areas Jefferson County Open Space intends to close in Clear Creek Canyon, shown on the attached maps, encompass the active eagle nests. If the Clear Creek eagles continue to nest in the active nests, these areas will remain closed from February 1 through July 31. If the eagles choose different nesting sites, the closures will be adjusted accordingly to protect those eagles during their breeding season.
Currently, rock climbing areas that fall inside of the seasonal raptor closures include:

Do crux moves out the top of the bowl, climb to a large black intrusion, do another crux move at the headwall above, and follow bolts to the anchor.
Approach from the Guppy Tyrol to Crackside. Continue another 20' to a large pod/bowl. At low water, you can wade the creek and climb in from the right.
8 bolts plus 1 bolt in the bowl and a 2 bolt anchor. A single bolt was added to protect the traverse in from the left and another to approach from the right.
