Description

Of all the 13a's of the Wailing Wall and The Cathedral, this was my personal favorite.

Start of in a dihedral that turns into a bulbous arete followed by a beautiful slab after good rest. The crux doest let up until a rest a the base of the overhanging arete on a jug. Then tackle the redpoint crux (probably easier than lower section) to pull onto a slab. Don't let your guard down just because your finally on your feet. Passing the last 2 bolts is around 11+ friction slab climbing!

Location

3rd most left route on wailing wall. Starting in dihedral-arete-slab.

Protection

14 bolts

Best 13a on the wall! a bit of a clip up but most people are into that! I had a hard time clipping the bolt after the redpoint crux on the arete so I skipped it and raddled my way to the rest! Took over 30 minutes to climb this route, it was exhausting. Really stoked and lucky to of ticked this one my second try! Apr 10, 2017
