This is a super awesome climb with a beautiful summit. Pitch one is pretty average 5.9 climbing but P2 is really fun, steep, face climbing on big edges that tops out on the Libertad Pinnacle. The route can be easily linked into one beautiful pitch. With an 80m you can lower all the way back to the ground and a 70 requires some down climbing.

This climb is on the same pinnacle as Libertad but is approached from a different trail, starting inside the pool complex. Walk up a long set of stairs until it turns to scree and then follow a trail up to the wall. Same as Sky Top Buttress.

A bit loose and dirty in spots, but overall a sweet blocky adventure climb. I’m not sure about the current 1 vote, 4 star rating though.... not ideal for leaders new to 5.10, and be careful in the heat. Some prime cacks for stingers and biters, and some cement thats probably not as strong in the heat. Summit belay and raps are a bit heady, but long chains help the situation. Also, double check your approach beta (these routes really should be organized on MoProj separate from “east mirador/libertad”. That being said...

1 pitch with a good amount of alpine draws is the way to go. Fun! Safer too. Great movement up high, and a stellar summit position! Worth the trip. Gracias to the FA team :) Mar 1, 2018
