Arguably the top climb for intermediate climbers.

Bolted and climbed by Sandeep Bhagyawant in March 2017.

The first bolt is scary. The fall potential is 10-20 meters and the place doesn't allow a spotter to stand well.High alpine exposure in tropical climate! Hands get sweaty for multiple reasons!

The route is about 25m long, with about 10 bolts. From bolt 2-10 it is all overhanging, I didn't notice it that much while leading, but the second time I tried on TR and once I rested on the rope I was spinning in the air helplessly! (Read: not suitable for TR unless you know tricks of staying on the route by clipping yourself to the rope etc.).

The route is uniformly hard. This may have about 25 "moves" and everyone of them felt challenging/interesting.

The holds are mostly decent sized, so for me who doesn't have very fine footwork/technique, this felt like a solid gym workout, involving pull-ups. Quite enjoyable, currently I would say this is even better than Rest Day.

If you are new to the area, I would recommend testing yourself against Rest Day before attempting Avalanche or La Ghati.

This route is located about 20-30m left of Rest Day (which is the first route you pass by as you emerge from the trail and take the left split. Via a little exposed scrambling path, not a family friendly approach.

Sport route. Double bolt anchor.
