There is a crux midway up with an awkward body positioning. this may feel better after the route is cleaned up. The headwall is difficult to pull into with a desperate move to get established.

Location

This is the lone sport line on the crag and climbs a very featured crack. The route start is on great huecos.

Protection

10 bolts to bolt anchor.

[Hide Comment] I believe this route is in the old Swain book published by Falcon Press. I think this was a Harrison/Van Betten/Locatelli rotue. Apr 6, 2017

[Hide Comment] The obvious line 60 feet left of Chunder Bolt now goes free at a 5.10b. Lead it on-sight yesterday 12-16-18. Been eye balling this route for over 20 years. I believe I got the F.A. Let me know if you know anyone who's done it. Working on the name. Either Seamstress or Justin Saca Memorial. Shelby Shelton and Danny Rider also placed bolts on Chunder. Dec 17, 2018

[Hide Comment] This route was a bit sandy on a windy day, but deserves more traffic. Great thing to keep busy if all the routes at Sunny and Steep are occupied. Beta spoilers: lots of amazing fins and hueco features. Think 3-D at the slopey crux. Mar 3, 2020

[Hide Comment] Seems like the sandy spots are on such soft rock that it couldn't ever really clean up. Cool line on junk rock. Feb 24, 2021
