FA: Darren Knezek
Utah > S Central Utah > San Rafael Swell > San Rafael Swel… > Viewfinder Towers

Description

Start by scrambling up the boulder on the south side of the tower and following the wide, low angle crack system to the first ledge. A sandy, slopey bulge leads to the beautiful new shiny bolts at the top.

Location

This small hoodoo tower is located in the Viewfinder Towers area about 10 miles north of Hanksville Utah on Utah 24. Just north of the view area is a dirt road heading West. Drive down this dirt road approx. 1/2 mile and the tower is the first tower after Meat Log Tower on the south side of the dirt road. Park and walk about 200 feet to the base of the tower. The route is on the south side and goes up the easiest looking way.

Protection

Cams, .75-3.5, one or two of each.
