Only a small area is open for climbing, so please be respectful and don't climb outside of that area. The actual mountain is off limits without a guide, but apparently they will do guided bouldering tours of the mountain if the SCC sends a representative to take part in the guided trip. Pack out all trash, be quiet, be respectful. Much of Panola is home to a combination of endangered plants, and wildlife preserves, so don't be intrusive!
Description
Start with a high under-cling on the obvious flake and climb to the highest point on the boulder to top out. The crux section is around the middle of the boulder (maybe a little lower) and is about 3 moves long. The top portion is not hard but very heady since you are so high.
If you have any doubts in your ability please do not attempt this boulder. It is the highest problem at this area and the landing is very sketchy. Don’t say I didn’t warn you! It is best to anchor you pad to the tree on your left that way it will not slide out from under you if you land on the slanted portion of the boulder at the landing area.
