Description

Scarier Than Friction opens with a pair of fun moves that lead to a tricky mantel on solid but sandy rock over a decent landing.

Sit start with a great left hand hueco and a three-finger right hand circular pocket-edge. From there, stick a big right hand move to a jug-pocket, place a heel on the start hold, match a left hand next to the right on a two-finger pocket, then reach the lip, commit to the slab using the bumps and a mantel, and finish up the remainder for the send.

Location

It climbs the east face of Frank.

Protection

I'd recommend at least three pads. The landing appears good but is uneven and surrounded by rocks.
