Description

This route attacks the prominent arete to the left of Dunn's Dihedral and Sasafrass. The crux is lower on the route with thoughtful and exposed climbing towards the top. It is a must do on First Buttress.

Location

The route climbs the arete in between Aphrodite and Dunn's Dihedral. Locate the start by finding the lone bolt on the broken slab.

Protection

8 bolts with a two bolt anchor and a few small cams to a #0.5 c4.

The anchor has two bomber bolts and a coldshut. The bolts on route, however, are pretty old and could use an upgrade. They seem solid enough, but I didn't test them with a fall. A 0.5 C4 protects the first real moves to the first bolt. A red C3 in a horizontal was nice after this and a couple finger size cams for the horizontal after the last bolt. May 29, 2018
