Description Suggest change

The gem of the "North Slab" section of Little Cathead, and a valued complement to the shorter, steeper lines elsewhere on the mountain.

Location Suggest change

From the main crag, walk downslope about 200 ft then head north descending a bit more so you are below a broken rocky area. Walk along the base of this for a few hundred yards (passing several routes on the short vertical walls) until you see the high slab of ice that defines the route.

GPS 555770 easting, 4790075 northing

Start at the left edge of the bottom of the slab, climb a right-facing corner past a downward-pointing boulder. Angle up and left to the steeper slab which is climbed to its top.

Protection Suggest change

Watch for thin ice on the starting moves. Rap sling in place atop the route.
